Four Decades Keeping New Jersey Cold, Running, and Open for Business.
Cold Freeze Technologies was built on one idea: when a walk-in fails or a rooftop unit quits, the people depending on it can't wait. Frank Ferraj has operated on that standard since 1984.
Frank Ferraj built Cold Freeze Technologies the same way he runs it today.
When Frank started in commercial refrigeration in 1984, the job was simple: show up fast, fix it right, don't leave until the box is cold. He has worked on walk-ins, chillers, rooftop HVAC units, kitchen exhaust systems, and industrial cooling plants — under restaurants, in food manufacturing facilities, on warehouse roofs in January.
He built Cold Freeze Technologies around one non-negotiable: the same guy who answers the phone does the work. No dispatch queues. No "we'll send someone Thursday." No subcontracting the hard parts to whoever's available.
"Most contractors do restaurants OR manufacturers. We do both — and handle the full scope under one NJ license." — Frank Ferraj, Owner
License, insurance, and how the work is backed
NJ Licensed HVAC-R Contractor
NJ License #13VH03913000. This license covers commercial refrigeration, HVAC installation and service, ductwork fabrication, kitchen exhaust, and warehouse ventilation — the full scope we advertise.
Insured & Workers' Comp Covered
Every tech on every job is covered by general liability insurance and workers' compensation. An uninsured contractor's work can void your health department approval and your building insurance. Don't find out the hard way.
1–10 Year Warranties
Walk-in refrigeration systems: 1–5 year parts warranties. New HVAC equipment (Carrier, Lennox, York): 5–10 year manufacturer warranty plus 1 year labor from us. Frank walks through what's covered before any install — nothing buried in fine print.
Who we work for
Restaurants, delis, food manufacturers, warehouses, hotels, and industrial facilities across NJ, NY, and PA. Notable clients include Anderson International Foods and Summerset Syrup — industrial-scale cooling and heating plants that most NJ contractors won't touch.
